From Local Privacy to Cloud Privacy 🚀

First things first - a huge thank you to every single Clara user out there. You've kept your trust in us and helped build this entire product. This launch wouldn't have been possible without you.

Why We Had to Move to Cloud

Let's be real here. Not everyone can afford a good PC. Not everyone can carry their laptops around all the time. And honestly? One of our most requested features was exactly this - "you guys have good infra but still lack cloud..."

So yeah, we heard you.

But Wait... Clouds Aren't Exactly Safe, Right?

Duhhh, we know. Clouds are not safe, especially when it comes to cloud providers having access to your data. So we dug deep and came up with a solution - TEE providers (Trusted Execution Environments).

TEE is the closest thing we can get to truly private inference. Your data stays encrypted even during processing. We wanted to give it a try, and honestly? It works.

We've partnered with awesome TEE providers like Chutes and 0g for now to bring you multiple open-source models. And we'll keep exploring and bringing new TEE partners onboard.

Privacy is Still a Choice

Here's the thing - we also offer other providers for those who just want to try out Clara's all-in-one system without worrying too much about privacy (pun intended).

Privacy is a choice. That's exactly why our open-source version is still available and we'll continue building on it. The new updated agent and chat interface? Yeah, that's coming to the desktop version too.

The cloud version is, to be honest, a bit toned down from what we have in our desktop app. But it's accessible from anywhere, and that's the whole point.

Cloud Sync? Optional and Encrypted

And about saving your chats on our cloud - that's totally optional.

If you want to sync between your phone and other devices, you can opt-in to cloud sync. Even then, everything is encrypted. Fully secured. Good to go.
